First things first: There is a couple in Santa Clara, Calif., who have modeled their Victorian home after the brightly-colored house from the Disney tear-jerker 'Up' for the enjoyment of their kids. (Do they win the best parents ever award or what?) The grand gesture may be the sweetest thing we've ever heard, but their neighbors are not too pleased with their decision.

While the Haggog family purposely decided to style their house after 'Up' character Carl Frederickson's (minus the balloons, of course), they reveal that they did so because their kids are such die-hard fans of the classic Disney film.

"They love the move 'Up,' and we thought we'd give them something fun to be proud of," Hosam Haggog tells NBC. Therefore, Haggog and his wife Fatina Rahman spent two years painting and transforming their home to look exactly like the one from the movie.

The heartwarming housework may have impressed their kids, but their neighbors were pretty outraged by the decision.

"I don't think it fits in," angrily remarks Lou Faria, a neighbor of the family and a member of the Old Quad Residents Association. "This Victorian is a gracious old lady, and it's being painted up to look like a clown." Aren't clowns supposed to make people smile?

While the neighbors aren't too happy, there's nothing they can do. Fortunately for the Haggog family, they renovated their home with the approval of the city, so the 'Up' house is here to stay.
