Usher was born in Dallas, Texas and raised in Chattanooga, Tenn., before his family moved him and his brother, James Lackey, to Atlanta.

A brief audition with LaFace Records honcho, L.A. Reid. in 1993 led to him signing a record deal. In 1994, a teenaged Usher released his self-titled debut album and the rest, they say, is music history.

Usher's friendship with fellow Atlien hitmaker Jermaine Dupri produced his most successful album to date, 'Confessions,' which has sold over 20 million copies worldwide.

His latest album 'Looking 4 Myself,' boasts the falsetto-driven hit 'Climax,' which became his 12th No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. For his stellar work, the crooner was honored with a golden gramophone for Best R&B Performance at the 2013 Grammy Awards.

With a career that spans three decades, Usher lives up to his moniker -- Mr. Entertainment.
