Just when you thought VH1 had exhausted every possible music list idea, the network is about to unveil its ’100 Greatest Songs of the ’00s,’ a countdown that prominently features Beyonce, Eminem, Britney Spears and Lady Gaga.

Entertainment Weekly revealed the complete list, which is heavy on pop and hip-hop songs. Beyonce and hubby Jay-Z reign at No. 1 with ‘Crazy in Love,’ followed by OutKast‘s ‘Hey Ya!,’ Gaga’s ‘Poker Face,’ Eminem’s ‘Lose Yourself’ and Kelly Clarkson‘s ‘Since U Been Gone.’

Beyonce has a trio of songs on the list, with ‘Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)’ at No. 16 and the Destiny’s Child hit ‘Bootylicious’ at No. 19. Spears claims two entries, ‘Toxic’ and ‘Oops! I Did it Again.’

The list is sure to cause plenty of disagreement among music fans. Why ‘Poker Face’ in the Top 5 instead of ‘Bad Romance,’ which only placed at No. 49? Why Rihanna‘s smash ‘Umbrella’ behind 50 Cent‘s ‘In Da Club?’

The countdown airs on VH1 all next week, starting at 10PM on Oct. 3, and is hosted by Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz, whose band took No. 40 with ‘Sugar, We’re Going Down.’

Do you think VH1 got the list right?
