Lady Gaga reigns supreme. With 25 million Twitter followers in her corner, Gaga was named the world's most popular celebrity, thanks to new statistical data provided by the newly-launched measuring service StarCount.

According to DigitalSpy, the Mother Monster cruised ahead of Justin Bieber and Rihanna to be christened as such based on aggregated info from the world's Top 11 social networking sites, which includes Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

StarCount made its bow on Thursday (May 31) and is said to be the world's first and largest global digital platform that can measure the behaviors of nearly 1.5 billion people.

Below is the Top 10 for the global most popular list. We love that the Top 6 is comprised of pop stars who are more popular than Facebook and YouTube as entities.

Congrats to the New Yorker formerly known as Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta on being named the most popular celebrity on earth. Notice, her arch nemesis Madonna, who has taken to jabbing Gaga in concert with her 'Express Yourself'/'Born This Way'/'She's Not Me' mashup, doesn't place in the Top 10. She may not be you, but she's certainly more popular. Just sayin'.

StarCount Global Most Popular:

1. Lady GaGa
2. Justin Bieber
3. Rihanna
4. Eminem
5. Shakira
6. Katy Perry
7. Facebook
8. YouTube
9. Cristiano Ronaldo
10. Michael Jackson
