Whether he's acting onscreen or just being himself, Will Ferrell is no stranger to hilarious stunts. This is, after all, the man who brought to life iconic comedic characters such as Anchorman's Ron Burgundy and Elf's Buddy Hobbs.

But his latest stunt just might be among his wackiest of all time: The actor plans to play all nine baseball positions in the Cactus League. Here's the kicker: He wants to take every spot on the field in a single day.

How exactly will this work? Put aside all thoughts of Will frantically hurrying from the pitcher's mound to the outfield in order to handle all positions at once. USA Today reports that the comedian plans to travel by helicopter to a series of game sites on Thursday.

According to The Chicago Tribune, this will be part of an event planned by Major League Baseball and HBO. The event will reportedly be filmed and used as part of a cancer awareness project.

He'll play in games for the Cactus League, a spring training baseball league located in Arizona. The Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants are all a part of this league.

We can only hope that Will's next foray into the world of team sports goes better than the time he slammed a basketball in a cheerleader's face (for the sake of a scene from his movie Daddy's Home — his athletic skills aren't really that bad!).
