The Black Eyed Peas' singer will.i.am will be returning to the 'American Idol' stage sans his Peas posse just two weeks after the group performed 'Just Can't Get Enough' on the hit show.

According to Billboard, will.i.am is making a quick return to the FOX series and will perform 'Hot Wings (I Wanna Party),' which is his song from the forthcoming 20th Century Fox animated film, 'Rio.'

'Hot Wings (I Wanna Party)' is a spicy duet between will and singer-actor Jamie Foxx. 'Rio' is set to open in multiplexes on April 15. While 'Hot Wings (I Wanna Party)' is not planned as a single, will believes that the song can take on a life of its own once it's out there and experienced by 'Idol' watchers and beyond!

The digitally-minded will.i.am tells Billboard the song is "a viral baton that is, in a sense, a single" and that "nowadays, anything can get cut up and become a viral single." He continues, telling the trade publication that "I'm glad to be performing on 'Idol.' That will be a single, and the scene in the film acts as a music video."

'Hot Wings (I Wanna Party)' may not be the only will.i.am/Foxx collaboration. Foxx spoke to will and Swizz Beatz about contributing to his R&B and hip-hop-themed animated feature, 'Welcome to the Jungle.' That project is still in the nascent script stages.
