YC, ‘I Know’ Feat. Ace Hood – Song Review

If you are tired of hearing YC's get-money anthem 'Racks' being played ad nauseam on the radio, well, you better get used to it. The 26-year-old rhyme-spitter recently leaked his follow-up single, 'I Know' featuring Ace Hood, and it has all of the elements that made 'Racks' such a bonafide hit -- repetition, repetition, repetition.

Much like 'Racks,' YC repeats the title throughout the song, so don't be surprised if you catch yourself subconsciously repeating "I know." He's sneaky like that. Over a thunderous beat and keyboard synthesizers, an Auto-Tune-assisted YC lets you know why he's the biggest player in the game:

"I'm fresh as hell / I know / Got kush in my pockets/ I know / Ice on my shirt / I know / horseshoes on my pockets/ I know / Got racks in my jeans / I know/ Got a campaign / Yeah, I know/ Your girl wanna smash / I know."

'Hustle Hard' rapper Ace Hood comes through and out-muscles YC on his own track with braggadocios lyrics. He spits, "Still stuntin', ain't nothin', you know / Red bottoms on my toes / Sixes on my Chevy / That's how I flow."

Undoubtedly, YC's song 'I Know' is infectious and tailor-made for the clubs. If egoistical and trite lyrics are not your thing, this single might not be for you. But, on the other hand, you might be incapable of resisting to push the play button on this track.
