Young the Giant, ‘My Body’ (K. Flay Remix) – Song Review

Young the Giant's 'My Body' becomes an electronic track on a new K. Flay remix of the song. K. Flay substitutes a twinkling piano for the rock guitars of the original version, while tossing in stuttering drum and keyboard effects to take the song in an entirely different direction.

The remix creatively re-works the song while putting extra emphasis on the hook, "My body tells me no," which gets repeated and looped throughout the track. The contrast of the simple pop vibe of the piano with the more experimental effects makes the remix effective.

The K. Flay remix is timely, considering that Young the Giant just performed at the MTV Video Music Awards, which resulted in their self-titled album shooting up 88 places to No. 42 thanks to the increased exposure from the broadcast.
