Zac Efron found himself leaving rehab in April of 2013 after quietly entering and completing a program at a treatment facility, and he's finally talking about it.

The topic came up on the 'Today Show' (Jan. 21), and Zefron was not shy about telling host Savannah Guthrie about how good he's doing fighting off his substance abuse troubles.

When asked how things were following his stint in rehab, Efron smiled and told the host, "I’m in the best place I’ve ever been. I’ve never been this happy before."

He added of his 'That Awkward Moment' co-stars (Michael B. Jordan and Miles Teller) who were there with him, "I’m extraordinarily grateful for these guys and to be here promoting this movie."

"Things are good, so thank you for asking," he added.
