Zedd Met Selena Gomez Because He ‘Had to Pee’

If you've ever wanted to hear a good meet-cute story, look no further than the way Zedd and Selena Gomez first met. According to E! News, when Zedd was on AMP Radio in Los Angeles to promote his and Selena's latest single "I Want You to Know," he opened up about the very first time the two met.

He said (all quotes via E! News), "I had the day off and I decided to go buy stuff for my house because I just moved… and I had to pee and I had my engineer with me so I was like, ‘I hope they have a bathroom there.' He was like, just go to the studio over there." He continued, "So I walk in and John, the head of our label, who had just signed Selena, was there…he was like, have you ever met Selena? So he introduced me to her, and was like hey, she's cool, maybe we should make a song together. And then like a week later, we start working on a song together."

And the rest is history. Well, sort of. Zedd and Selena have never officially confirmed that they're dating or are actually linked together, romantically. But they sure have been spending a ton of time hanging out. From holding hands at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards to the time Zedd shared that super intimate photo of Selena to their bowling date -- they've at least been enjoying each other's company pretty thoroughly.

As for that song they worked on together? A music video for "I Want You to Know" will reportedly be out soon. Zedd said, "Yes, I will be in the video actually… and it will come out very soon...there for sure is a plot, but we can't tell you about that. We want it to be a surprise."
