This summer, Jack Antonoff will join Charli XCX to "do America" along the acts' national tour, but between stops, he's setting his sights on New Jersey and New Jersey, alone.

The Bleachers act, whose "Like a River Runs" was just beautifully covered by Sia, announced today (June 9) that he's founded a brand new festival called Shadow of the City that he hopes will bring honor to the oft-overlooked Garden State.

The Stone Pony SummerStage in Asbury Park, New Jersey will host the inaugural event on September 19.

"[New Jersey is] forever a s----- younger brother," Antonoff admitted, according to a press release. "Growing up in New Jersey, I didn't understand how incredible this was. It's not till later in life that I realize it is at the core of who I am. Someone who grew up in the shadow of the city and always felt less than and used music to create something bigger. I want to do this festival for the rest of my life and am so proud of its inaugural year."

Antonoff's festival will include performances by tour mate Charli XCX, MisterWives and Robert Delong, among others, and promises food trucks, carnival games and "Weird NJ Pop Up Stand." As if we needed any more convincing!

Shadow of the City tickets will be available for sale on Friday, June 12 on the festival's site.
