Justin Bieber’s New Friend Is a Beluga Whale – Pic of the Week

Poor Selena Gomez -- always taking a backseat to basketball games, fashion events and now, beluga whales. This week's Pic of the Week is totally adorbs. While one Justin Bieber is ultra cute, one Justin Bieber plus one smiley whale is almost too much for us to handle!

"Hung out with a new friend yesterday," the Biebs tweeted on Wednesday, including the pic of himself rocking wet bedhead in a black diving suit, cuddling a sweet Beluga. The day before, the 17-year-old superstar shared via Twitter that he was taking the day off to be a teenager, which meant napping, skateboarding and swimming with the fishes, apparently.

When he wasn't diving with sea creatures, the Biebs spent his week jet-setting across the country. Following his appearance at Dolce & Gabbana’s Fashion Night Out for Pencils of Promise on Sept. 8, the 'Baby' singer shared that he was headed back in the other direction, most likely Los Angeles, to work on his forthcoming Christmas record. He said, "headed back out west to work on this #MUSIC. excited for you guys to hear it. Christmas album this november. #charity."

We love seeing the Biebs enjoying some time to himself, and it's extra cute that when he's not helping kids, he's playing with whales -- our only complaint is that the Pic of the Week is too low-quality to blow up into poster size. Darn.
