Rebecca Black to Release Debut Album in November

Rebecca Black is taking a break from singing about 'Friday' in order to release her first full-length album in November 2011! The YouTube singing sensation recently spoke to mun2 about her Mexican heritage, her next single, her debut album, and what's in store for the future.

Speaking to the Latino broadcast channel mun2, Black spoke about her forthcoming freshman album. "My new album should be out some time in November, which I'm really, really excited for," the teenage songstress said. "People will really be surprised about the variety of songs on there. There's some ballads, and there's some upbeat dancey tracks. None are really like 'Friday' -- I'm definitely trying to be way different in every song."

She also went on to talk about her next single, which will be the follow-up to her latest release 'My Moment.' Black said, "My next single coming out is called 'Person of Interest.' The basis of it is that it's a love song but it's not a love song. It's about almost teenage crushes -- when you're not in love yet but you really like a guy -- which I'm really excited about because I don't think there are too many out like that. It's very much a dance type song. It will make you get up and dance and sing along in your car."

The teen also spoke about her Mexican heritage, and the fact that she is proud to be part Latina. "My mom is from Mexico. I've been to Mexico several times. I used to go basically every other year, every two years," Black said. "Whenever I have relatives for the first time come in, she'll tell me to speak Spanish to them and try to keep up with the Spanish. My dad was born here in the States. People that have done a little bit of research on me, they know that I'm part Latina [and] and they really respect that about me which I really like."

Finally, Ms. Black discussed what's next for her after her album drops in November 2011. "I don't know what could happen after this album -- it really depends on the reaction, but I'd love to maybe [try] some acting," Black told mun2. "Touring is the dream. If I ever toured I would love to sing one of my songs in Spanish because the best part about having fans is to be able to connect to them and to understand your music and what you're going through."
