What a difference a year makes for J. Cole. A year ago, the Roc Nation artist had the No. 1 album with 'Cole World: The Sideline Story' and graced the cover of RESPECT. magazine's two-year anniversary issue. Now Hollywood Cole comes back for the magazine's three-year anniversary issue.

J. Cole has released the first single from his upcoming album 'Born Sinner,' which is due out on Jan. 28. The song features the Roc Nation rapper bringing his gruff attitude as he compares and contrasts the state of America with the rap game.

It seems as if J. Cole is embarking on a spiritual journey with second album 'Born Sinner.' The North Carolina rapper unveiled on his Dreamville blog the Jan. 28 release date for his sophomore project along with a teaser video.

Kendrick Lamar is still keeping busy despite having the No. 1 rap album this week with 'good kid, m.A.A.d City.' To thank his fans for their support, the Compton rapper released a fiery new track called 'Jig Is Up (Dump'n)' featuring J. Cole.

Jay-Z celebrated the grand opening of the Barclays Center's 40/40 club Thursday night (Sept. 27) in Brooklyn, N.Y. Hov's closest friends like Rihanna, Questlove (of the Roots), J. Cole and other celebrities were in attendance at the club's first party inside the Brooklyn Nets' new home.

It's been a minute since we heard anything new from J. Cole. Outside of starting beefs with Diggy Simmons, the North Calackie MC is working on some new music. On Sunday (Sept. 16), Cole sent a lucky fan on Twitter an MP3 of a new track called 'I'm a Fool.'

Hip-hop heavyweights Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, J.Cole and Big Sean are among the headlining acts for this year's Hot 97 Summer Jam concert. The the tri-state area event will take place on June 3 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
