After "making love" to the crowd with his fan-chosen Pepsi challenge song, Marcus Canty returned to the stage for a second song on tonight's episode of 'X Factor.' It was a remixed version of George Michael's '80s ballad 'Careless Whisper.' The original is an epic, emotional and sweeping song, and Canty's rendition started out that way but quickly changed.

"This is for that special lady," Marcus Canty murmured as he emerged into the 'X Factor' spotlight tonight. Whoever that "special lady" is, here's to hoping she doesn't side with Simon Cowell.

In a move that might piss off Chris Rene and Astro, L.A. Reid has said that he will buy a sweet, sweet set of wheels for fellow boys group contestant Marcus Canty if he wins 'X Factor.' If Canty pulls off the big win, Reid will gift him with a Bentley. What a ride.

There was no doubt who 'X Factor' contestant Marcus Canty would give thanks to during the Thanksgiving themed episode on Tuesday night. His mother was stage-side as the 20-year-old from Bowie, Md., delivered a tear-jerking performance of  'Song for Mama' by Boyz II Men.

Marcus Canty, an R&B singer with a smooth voice and smooth moves, took on a song by a singer known for those same characteristics -- Bobby Brown. It wasn't a stretch for Canty, but he rocked 'Every Little Step' of the song like a true pro on tonight's 'X Factor.'
