The 2013 Golden Globes aired last night (Jan. 13), with some of our favorite pop stars in attendance, such as Adele, making her first public appearance since the birth of her son.

She looked beautiful in basic black as she picked up the Golden Globe for Best Original Song, beating Taylor Swift, who was also equally as gorgeous in a plum-colored dress. Jennifer Lopez also knocked 'em dead in lace, while Lea Michele rocked a white gown.

Adele wore a custom, draped black Burberry frock with an embellished neckline that flattered her plus-sized figure. Her hair was teased at the crown and pulled back in a delicate knot fastened at the nape of her neck. She looked stunning and flawless in her floor-sweeping gown, dressing appropriately.

Swift, who was nominated for Best Original Song for her 'Hunger Games' track 'Safe & Sound,' wore an eggplant/plum Donna Karan gown with an open back. It had a mermaid hem, and she wore her hair pulled back in a low bun tucked into itself, so it looked like she chopped off her hair. Some fans complained that it was too matronly, but was it really that bad? She needed an updo to show off her dress' bodice, neckline and back, so she had no choice but to go up, up, up. It was very Old Hollywood of the singer, 23.

Jennifer Lopez wore a lace Zuhair Murad dress that showed off those knock 'em dead curves. It featured sparkled appliques over a nude fabric, with long sleeves, covering up most of her golden skin. Those big, Old Hollywood waves, worn on the shoulder, were pretty. The dress gave off the illusion that she was sorta naked, but not really.

Lea Michele wore a crystal-encrusted, bone-colored, halter-neck Elie Saab, paired with her sun-kissed skin and ombre, wavy hair. The up-to-their slit was incredibly sexy, but then again, we expect that type of controlled flesh flash from this fashionista.

Check out Adele's and T. Swizzle's updos. Adele's is a bit more fancy and styled, but both ladies wore their manes up to show off those beautiful faces.
