It's that time again: A time for twerking. A time for same-sex three way tonguin'. A time for matrimonial blasphemy.

Yes, the MTV Video Music Awards are back for another round next month (August 30 at 9 PM ET), and with tongue-happy Miss Miley Cyrus taking over as the host of the evening's festivities, you can be assured that the night is likely going to be as weird, shocking and offensive as hoped. Maybe even some nipple action! Yeehaw, y'all!

Nick Jonas is also set to perform at the awards show, playing his new single "Levels" live for the first time. You can check out his official video announcement via Twitter.

This morning, MTV announced the nominees for this year's VMAs ceremony on Apple Music's 24-hour radio station Beats 1. Now, fans are invited to vote for their faves on the official MTV VMAs website, beginning at 11 AM ET.
