2NE1's final song as a group, "Goodbye," is coming out in a matter of days.

If you didn't already know that, or if you haven't already seen the tear-jerker of a first teaser photo, don't worry: 2NE1's own Minzy didn't know, either.

In an Instagram post today (Jan. 20), the youngest (former) member of the "I Am The Best" K-Pop troupe reveals that she found out about "Goodbye" from a news report, confirming (A) she's definitely not appearing on the song as suspected and (B) YG Entertainment and her former bandmates didn't bother to give her a heads up in advance, which is...interesting.

Granted, she did leave the group and their agency in 2016 to pursue a solo career, so it's not entirely surprising that she wasn't made immediately aware.

"It's a shame that I had to find out 2NE1 will be releasing their final album through a news article. This is very unfortunate as I was previously a member of the group 2NE1, but I share the same feelings as the other members in wanting to show appreciation and bid farewell to everyone for all their love and support of 2NE1," she wrote.

"I am truly grateful and sincerely appreciate all the love 2NE1 received and hope for your extended love and support as the members continue on in their individual careers. Thank you."

It's a sad sign-off message to come from the now solo singer, whose contract with YG Entertainment expired last April after she purposely chose to leave the group.

"I would like to apologize to all those who expressed shock at the news of my departure. It is after careful consideration and much deliberation that I have decided to pursue a new journey as an artist named Minzy Kong," she wrote in a letter to fans in May.

And despite reassurance that the troupe would continue on without Minzy at that time, YG later admitted that the group would be officially parting ways in November before revealing plans for "Goodbye."

Now, there's (still) a CL-penned sign-off song heading our way on January 21, which one core member of 2NE1 evidently had no idea about. And while she did leave the group, a teaser photo featuring all four members seems rather misleading.

The whole thing's a mess. Why bother, if only to cash in on the emotions of disheartened Blackjacks? It's all feeling pretty gross at this point. What's the deal, YG?
