Adam Lambert is hitting hard with his 'Trespassing' promotion. The 'American Idol' alum performed an acoustic song called 'Never Close Our Eyes' from his highly anticipated sophomore album, much to the delight of his fans.

"You guys wanna hear a brand new song off of 'Trespassing?'" Lambert asked, perched on a stool. "This is actually the first time we've ever done this acoustic -- for you guys," he announced. "This is a premiere acoustic performance, so bear with me if I screw up," he smiled. "I'm human!"

Lambert has previously performed three 'Trespassing' tracks with a full band.

'Never Close Our Eyes' was penned by none other than Bruno Mars, and you can hear his influence in Lambert's vocal stylings. The song is about not wanting to waste a second with the one you love: "There's plenty of time to sleep when we die / So let's just stay awake until we grow older." The crowd ate the song up, much to Lambert's joy. "Thank you! Oh, thank you!" he beamed at its conclusion.

A snippet of his title track, 'Trespassing,' also hit the Web. You can hear traces of Queen, Maroon 5 and a hint of Michael Jackson in it -- we likey!

'Trespassing' hits shelves on May 15. We can't wait!
