Adam Levine will be playing "a sexy guy" in his upcoming role on Ryan Murphy's 'American Horror Story,' which isn't a stretch. If you ask Jennifer Love Hewitt or any red-blooded female, she is likely to agree that Levine is hot. The Maroon 5 frontman is quite the good-looking dude, and we are banking that he can pull off sexy on the small screen in scripted form.

Murphy, also the creator of 'Glee,' told The Hollywood Reporter that Levine was instantly "in" when he explained the part, which he describes as "gritty" and "having a lot of meat to it." Something for Levine to sink his fangs into!

"He's a sexy guy, so he needs to play a sexy guy, but a guy that is different than who you think he would play," Murphy said of Levine, who will appear in Season 2 on 'AHS.' "I pitched him the part and he listened slack jawed and simply said, 'I'm in.' The second season is fun, sexy and baroque. It has a lot of meat to it. It's a really gritty part."

It'll be refreshing to see Levine play a part other than himself, which he does every week on 'The Voice.'
For this role, he'll be paired up with a girl and they play recurring characters called "the Lovers."

Eat your heart out, Anne V. We're still shocked you split with A.L.!
