Austin Mahone gave his Mahomies a present last night (May 26), sharing a new song called "Torture."

Austin included a message along with his surprise: "I produced this song and wrote it with Robert. I wanted to give you guys something for being so patient with #DirtyWork." Robert, as fans know, is Robert Villanueva, Austin's close pal (he's also a pivotal character in so much Austin-related fan fiction that's just a Google search away, in case you want to fall down a rabbit hole today).

"Torture" is a tender ballad that sees Mahone missing the special lady in his life, as he sings, "across the globe / you're far away / but your heart stays here with me, baby." It's easy to imagine that he's thinking of his girlfriend Becky G, but according to her, their relationship is nowhere near this intense — they're just enjoying themselves.

“Am I in love? I’m young,” the "Shower" singer recently said. “I’m doing what young people should do, is having fun. I’m having fun."

It's true that some patience has been required on the part of Austin's fans, as it's been awhile since the "Mmm Yeah" singer released a fresh batch of music. "Dirty Work", the lead single off of his long-delayed upcoming album, was allegedly set to drop this month, but has yet to materialize. Perhaps somebody is both a romantic and a perfectionist?

You can listen to Austin's new track above and, if being away from the new song feels like torture (sorry!), you can download it here.
