Voted by you, the 2014 PopCrush Fan Choice Awards celebrate the year that was in pop culture. Being singled out as the best is always a highlight in an artist's career, whether they're veterans or beginners. But winning one when they're just starting out? It's the ultimate "Welcome to the Club" award!

Here, we offer you a look at the newest potential members of the club, our nominees for Best New Artist.

Seventeen-year-old Austin Mahone managed to make a big 'Banga Banga,' despite his first-ever headlining tour getting sidelined by illness. 'Sam & Cat' star Ariana Grande made headlines for her romantic relationships, but it was her big, diva voice that was the real news. Disney star Bridgit Mendler showed that she rather enjoyed standing in the eye of the hurricane; and true to her name, Lorde ruled pretty much everything, from the charts to the Art of the Interesting Interview.

Sometimes, things just work better in twos. Ask Macklemore + Ryan Lewis, who have racked up their share of Grammy nominations, MTV VMAs and AMAs as they spread their message of social acceptance. Singer-songwriter duo A Great Big World also had something to say with 'Say Something,' and hip-pop pair Timeflies said 'I Choose U' -- will you choose them?

Girl groups got it going on, with Fifth Harmony claiming that they were 'Better Together' and Little Mix showing that success was in their 'DNA.' Boy band Emblem3 logged way more than '3000 Miles' as an opening act, and will soon be embarking on their own headlining tour.

Who do you think should be named Best New Artist? Make your choice for top newcomer in the poll below. The poll closes on Tuesday, February 11 at 10AM ET.
