Bobbi Kristina’s Engagement Ring Belonged to Whitney Houston
Another day, another strange update in the love life of Bobbi Kristina Brown and her adopted brother, Nicholas Gordon. More details are emerging on her alleged engagement ring -- it belonged to her mother, Whitney Houston.
Hollywood Life reports that the ring is worth a whopping $250,000! Houston was reportedly wearing the ring when she died, and Bobbi Kristina began wearing it as her engagement band shortly thereafter. The diamond is 10 carats!
Meanwhile, Bobbi Kristina's friends are just as surprised by her new romance as the rest of the world. Pals told TMZ that Bobbi Kristina broke the news to her buds at a barbecue this week. They weren't sure if Bobbi Kristina was even serious at that point ... until she and Gordon began kissing. Awkward!
One pal told the website that she thinks the relationship is a result of both Gordon and Bobbi Kristina taking Houston's death hard. That's certainly a tragic, if understandable, way for people to come together. However, it also contradicts earlier reports that Houston gave her blessing to the relationship -- how could she have done that if they weren't dating yet? Though it is possible that they simply took their relationship to the next level once Houston passed.
Bobbi Kristina’s friends previously said that all she told them regarding an engagement was that she and Gordon are planning a trip to Las Vegas. Whatever the case may be, we wish these two the best!
