It's safe to assume that British prime minister David Cameron is siding with fellow Brit Russell Brand in Katy Perry's divorce drama. Cameron blasted Perry, along with fellow Grammy nominee Bruno Mars, in a recent interview. Why all the vitriol? And what music does he actually dig?

Cameron praised the musical stylings of Snow Patrol and pop newcomer Lana Del Rey -- so we bet he can't wait for Jan. 31 when her album drops! What did he have to say about Perry and Mars to the Daily Telegraph?

Every the diplomat, Cameron referred to the pop princess and doo-wop darling's material as “appalling.”  However, he may be stuck listening to 'The One That Got Away' and 'It Will Rain' for a while, because his children love them. He admitted that the duo was “beginning to infect" his iPod. Ouch! It makes us wonder if he contributed to this list!

For what it's worth, Cameron doesn't speak for the majority. At the People's Choice Awards this week, Mars won Best Male Artist. Meanwhile Perry, who wasn't in attendance, took home the most trophies of any honoree -- for Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Song of the Year, Favorite Music Video, Favorite TV Guest Star and Favorite Tour Headliner. It sounds like the people have spoken, and they disagree!
