Britney Spears + Simon Cowell Unload on ‘X Factor’ Contestants in New Promo

If a new commercial is any indication, the judges on the upcoming season of 'X Factor' are pulling no punches. A promo for the season premiere shows new judge Britney Spears joining Simon Cowell in mocking some of the contestants who just can't sing.

"I wanna know who let you on stage," Spears tells an aspiring singer. The salty words from Spears are no surprise considering the last 'X Factor' promo, which focused on Brit's pointed "constructive criticism." Cowell gets a little more colorful when he tells one hopeful, "You performed like a dog trying to lay an egg." Ouch!

A member of a boy band says, "They say that we're pretty boys, but girls love it." Sure enough, Spears says, "You're really hot." And that's not all the drama. Some contestants are carried away on stretchers, one is taken away in handcuffs, and others break down in tears. Is this really a singing competition show, or a lost episode of 'Cops?'

Season 2 of 'X Factor' featuring new judges Spears and Demi Lovato premieres on FOX at 8 PM EST on Wednesday, Sept. 12.
