Britney Spears has done it again! If she hits it big one more time, the songstress may become PopCrush’s first-ever Throwback Thursdays hall of famer! Her breakout hit ‘…Baby One More Time’ has championed over Christina Aguilera‘s ‘Genie in a Bottle,’ ‘N Sync‘s ‘Tearin’ Up My Heart’ and, most recently, the Spice Girls‘ ‘Wannabe.’ Congrats to all of the fans who votes and Brit!

This week, Spears is up against possibly her toughest competitor yet — or should we say competitors. ‘…Baby One More Time’ is going head-to-head in a fan-voted song battle against the monster collaborative hit ‘Lady Marmalade,’ featuring Mya, Pink, Christina Aguilera and Lil Kim. Will the power of four be enough to leave Brit in the dust?

We’ve said it time and time again, but Britney Spears’ ‘…Baby One More Time’ changed the state of pop music. Not only did it introduce us to one of the biggest stars of the 20th and 21st century, but it showed a sexier side of bubblegum pop, leading it to get banned from our middle school dance recital (Catholic school, of course). Even the beat sounds seductive, as Spears coos, “My loneliness is killin’ me / I must confess I still believe / When I’m not with you I lose my mind / Give me a sign, hit me baby one more time.”

And while Britney Spears was being more coquettish with her desires, Mya, Pink, Christina Aguilera and Lil Kim were putting it all out there on their 2001 version of Labelle’s ‘Lady Marmalade.’ The foursome recorded the French-laden tune to coincide with the release ‘Moulin Rouge!,’ a movie filled with romance and lingerie, hence the ladies’ scantily clad looks in the famous music video.

On the tune, Mya sings sweetly in the beginning, Pink comes in for the second verse with grit and rawness, Lil Kim spits some braggadocious rhymes on the third verse, and Christina Aguilera takes it home with a glass-shattering note during the final portions of the lustful track.

So, which throwback jam is your favorite in this match? Britney Spears’ ‘…Baby One More Time,’ or Mya, Pink, Xtina and Lil Kim’s collabo ‘Lady Marmalade’? Vote every hour below until the poll closes on April 3 at 11:59 PM ET. Good luck!

Rules of Throwback Thursdays: The artist and song with the most votes wins, and the winner goes on to face a different Throwback Thursday challenger the following week. If an artist wins four weeks in a row, they will be retired into the Throwback Thursdays Hall of Fame in order to give others a chance to compete.
