Cee Lo Green charmed the ladies, took some good-natured ribbing about his "Batman" and peacock costumes in stride, and most importantly, finished building a diverse, talented team on the second week of 'The Voice.'

After passing on or getting passed over by the first few contestants, Cee Lo beat out country star and fellow coach Blake Shelton for Hollywood's Emily Valentine, who took on 'Sober' by Pink. After starting into his review with "I do happen to have a few famous friends, and Pink is one of them," Cee Lo graciously laughed when Adam Levine teased him a bit: "Lemme get that name for you, you dropped it."

He then quickly ran uncontested for the affections of Nikki Dawson, who sang Katy Perry's 'Teenage Dream.' "We're gonna win this thing, no doubt," he confidently told her.  And it was pretty clear nobody else really had a shot at big, bearded Nakia from Texas, whose song choice -- Green's own 'Forget You' -- both impressed its creator and telegraphed his choice of Cee Lo over hard-campaigning co-judge Shelton."What's up, big brother? I had to turn around to see who this brave individual was. You have great taste in music," Cee Lo declared.

Shelton evened the score by taking Dia Frampton of Utah away from Green, and then passed on country hopeful Curtis Grimes, who impressed Cee Lo, but not so much Shelton, with his version of 'Hillbilly Bone.' "It sounded genuinely country," Green said, explaining his vote. "I'd like to do something that I've never done before: write a country song."

That left the 'Crazy' singer just one singer short, so naturally, he picked two. See, the very last act to perform was actually country-leaning duo Tori and Taylor Thompson, who sang Sugarland's 'Stuck Like Glue.' "I picked you guys because I want a duo to work with," started Green, who was the only one to turn around for the young pair. "But other than that, i think we can come up with something original on our own."

Originality doesn't seem to be a problem for Cee Lo Green. Now that his 'The Voice' team is chosen, it'll be interesting to see how he melds his own idiosyncratic stylings into something teachable. He'll have to work fast; next week kicks off the "Battle Rounds," where he pairs up his team members in "one must go" singing competitions.
