Ciara's 30th birthday was officially on Sunday (October 25), but she received a big surprise a day early when she arrived at the Warner Brothers lot in Burbank under the pretense of attending a movie premiere. According to Peopleher boyfriend, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, met her in full Batman attire while standing beside one of the most iconic props from the upcoming film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice: the Batmobile.

People also reports that Ciara was handed a mysterious set of instructions and a full Catwoman suit to slip into before she and Wilson were transported to the Batman exhibit on an adjacent lot. There, an intimate gathering of close friends and family members greeted the couple, and the DJ played Stevie Wonders' version of "Happy Birthday" as they entered.

Sources close to Ciara told People that the R&B singer "was overwhelmed with emotion and began to cry tears of joy" shortly after her entrance.

The entire birthday party was decked out in superhero attire —the most noteworthy of which were Ciara's 17-month-old son Future Zahir as Superman, and Beyoncé as Storm from X-Men. Other notable attendees included Kelly Rowland, Serena Williams, Lily Collins, LaLa Anthony, and comedian/television personality Jeff Dye. After indulging in some campy squad selfies, dining on sushi, and dancing, guests feasted on a three-tier birthday cake themed after Ciara's own superhero, Catwoman.

Those who couldn't celebrate with the birthday girl in person sent their birthday greetings via satellite, including Missy Elliot, Jennifer Hudson, and Ludacris.
