From Bjork to Sigur Ros, Iceland keeps pumping out quirky pop artists. The latest such act is Of Monsters and Men, a five-piece band whose single ‘Little Talks’ was one of the most infectious songs of 2012. The horn-heavy track sold more than 2 million digital downloads and put the band in the unlikely position of being nominated for an MTV Video Music Award against Katy Perry.

Their debut album ‘My Head Is An Animal’ was worth hearing for more than just that one single too. Listeners and critics complimented the band’s whimsical nature and lush instrumentation, as seen in tracks like ‘Dirty Paws’ and ‘Mountain Sound.’

Following successful shows at SXSW, Osheaga, Outside Lands and Lollapalooza in 2012, Of Monsters and Men will arrive at Coachella 2013 for two sets, followed by a North American theater tour in May.
