Dolly Parton Is ‘GooGoo’ for Gaga, Wants to Duet
It looks like Lady Gaga may be taking her experimentation with country music a step further! A reporter from E! Online recently spoke to the queen of country herself, Dolly Parton, backstage at the 2011 GLAAD Media Awards, and the 'Jolene' singer had nothing but positive things to say about the mother monster.
When asked for her thoughts on Gaga's recent 'Country Road' version of 'Born This Way,' Parton responds, "I think it's great. It's just wonderful. I love her." But wait. There's more. The country superstar also says, "Maybe we should do something together—GooGoo and Gaga! You know those GooGoo candy bars in Nashville? I could be Lady GooGoo."
That would be one divalicious collaboration! Considering both women possess the ability to switch up genres, it would definitely be an interesting mix of sounds. ‘Born This Way’ recently got a taste of India (Salim and Sulaiman produced a Bollywood mix and Culture Shock released an urban desi rendition), and Parton just collaborated with Queen Latifah on tracks for their upcoming movie 'Joyful Noise.' We can't wait to see what kind of costumes we would see in the video!
