Rule #1: Don't stop until you hit the top.

Dua Lipa's "New Rules" climbed all the way to No. 1 this week, hitting the top of the U.K. Official Singles Chart—and becoming the first time a solo female artist nabbed the top spot since Adele's "Hello" back in October 2015, according to Official Charts.

Off her self-titled debut album, released June 2, "New Rules" marks Lipa's first No. 1 single, following two previous Top 10 singles ("No Lie," "Be the One").

In a special video, the pop star thanks her fans for downloading, streaming and purchasing the song, which helped propel it all the way up.
