Smith first performed the track in the United States as the musical guest host on ‘Saturday Night Live.’ The song’s lyrics describe a feeling of emptiness and loneliness after a one-night stand. “Oh, won’t you stay with me? / ‘Cause you’re all I need / This ain’t love it’s clear to see / But darling, stay with me.”
