Simon Cowell better invest in better security for his abode. The reality show judge saw his London residence broken into on March 24, literally. Cowell was at home during the break in. The intruder is likely an overzealous fan, who camped out in the powder room. We thought it may have been a disgruntled 'X Factor' contestant or 'American Idol' alum when we heard the news.

According to The Sun, Cowell said the break in was akin to a horror film. The woman, Leanne Zaloumis, 29, entered the residence while he was at home, watching himself on TV. He was actually taking in an episode of 'Britain's Got Talent.' Oh, the irony!

Cops were called and arrested the trespasser, who had a brick on her. Cowell heard noises and then called authorities. "There was a loud bang and Simon rushed upstairs to find out what was going on," the judge's rep said. "It came from the bathroom so he went in — and there was a woman standing there holding a brick. She had smashed her way in through the window and it was unclear how long she had been there or what she was doing." Yikes. That is terrifying.

Zaloumis has been charged with aggravated burglary and appeared at West London Magistrates Court today (March 26). Another hearing is set for June.

We're glad that Simon Cowell was not injured during this incident.
