‘Glee’ Cast, ‘Pure Imagination’ – Song Review

On next week's 'Funeral' episode of 'Glee,' not only will a cast member die, but a classic song will come back to life with more spunk than ever before. New Directions take on 'Pure Imagination' from the whimsical 1971 film, 'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory' on Tuesday, May 17.

Given, we're softies for the 'Glee' ensemble performances, because really, can those kids harmonize, or what? But the New Directions take on Wonka is simply great. Not only is it original, compared to the show's typical Top 40 covers, it features many of the characters!

We don't have any spoilers for you this time, because 'Glee' has kept the secret of who will die in the vault. What we do know is that we're now about a week out from Nationals, so this tune could possibly be our glee club's way of prepping for New York -- with 'Pure Imagination.'

The 'Funeral' episode will also feature Amy Winehouse's 'Back to Black,' sung by Santana. You can catch that, 'Pure Imagination' and so much more when the highly-anticipated show airs on May 17!
