Hilary Duff has revealed that she is working on a song with Ed Sheeran for her first album in seven years.

In March, Duff announced that she had signed a record deal to put out her first new album since 2007's 'Dignity.' She has teased fans with working song titles that will appear on the album including 'Northern Star,' 'Night Like This,' 'Hurts' and 'Take It for What It Is.'

This week at the 2014 iHeartRadio Music Awards, Duff dropped a bombshell when she revealed to MTV that she is working with Ed Sheeran on a song for the album as well.

“I’m cutting an Ed Sheeran song next week, which I'm really excited about,” she told the site and also said that a single should be coming out "soon."

The former 'Lizze McGuire' star also described the album as having an "earthy, indie-pop vibe," which would presumably be a departure from the bubblegum pop sound she had when she was a Disney star.

Are you excited to hear what Hilary and Ed are working on?
