Is Amber Riley Leaving ‘Glee’?
'Glee' graduation is fast approaching, and fans are wondering who will be returning to the hit show next season. Gleeks are already on edge about the potential loss of their beloved characters, and now a tweet from Amber Riley has them wondering if her days at William McKinley are over.
The 26-year-old actress wrote: “That’s a wrap on Amber Riley! Just closed a chapter in my life, the only thing I’ve known day in and day out for three years. I’m going to miss the whole Glee family, seeing them everyday!"
She continued, "I have so many brothers and sisters now : ) But I am looking forward to a much needed and deserved summer vacation! SCHOOL’S OUT Glee Kids! Let’s play!”
While the tweet implied the end of a era, Amber soon sent out another message that insinuated that there's more in store for her character. "Stay tuned to see what’s next for Mercedes ; )," she wrote.
Lea Michele, Chris Colfer and Cory Monteith will reportedly remain on series, but Dianna Agron is rumored to be bidding farewell to musical TV show. The season 3 finale is simply called 'Goodbye,' and will air on May 22, following a two-hour 'Glee'-vent on May 15.
UPDATE: Amber Riley takes to twitter to address the rumors. She says: "My tweet apparently has been misconstrued. I was not confirming I was leaving the show. Just stating that I would miss being in the classroom everyday with the cast and that would be changing. Thanks for the support guys : )"
