J. Cole has a lot to celebrate. He scored a No. 1 Album with his gold-selling debut 'Cole World: The Sideline Story' and a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist all within a year. However, on Thursday (Jan. 26), Hollywood Cole held his biggest celebration in his New York.

The Roc Nation artist partied the night away at his 27th birthday party at Webster Hall with friends and family in attendance. Although the North Calackie MC's born day is actually on Saturday (Jan. 28), he got a head-start with the festivities in the Big Apple.

At the event, J. Cole treated fans to an impromptu performance of his platinum hit single, 'Work Out.' "When I put this s--- out, I had n----s very close to my circle doubting me," he told the crowd. "So six months later we platinum, gold album."

J. Cole has a variety of things planned for 2012. First up, the rapper will shoot a video for his next single 'Nobody's Perfect' (featuring Missy Elliott). And, of course, J. Cole will be at the Grammy Awards on Feb. 12 with the hopes of bringing home the Best New Artist trophy.

Good luck, J. Cole . . . and happy birthday!
