J. Cole can add one more accomplishment to his productive year. The North Cackalacka rhyme-slinger's debut LP 'Cole World: The Sideline Story' has reached gold status for sales of 500,000 copies by the Recording Industry Association of America. The Roc Nation artist went on Twitter to show proof by posting a letter from his attorney showing the RIAA certification.

"9 weeks later. Thank you is an understatement. GOLD World," the 26-year-old rapper tweeted to his followers. This is a huge achievement for Hollywood Cole who, just a few months ago, was considered an underdog in the rap game.

Not only that, J. Cole also received a much-deserved Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. "I come from Fayetteville, N.C. S---t is unreal," he said. "Thank you for the love. See you at the Grammy's."

Along with playing basketball with Kevin Durant, kicking it old-school with Elle Varner and getting respect on magazine covers, it seems as if J. Cole is on top of the world. We want to congratulate Cole on his sales achievement. You are not on the sidelines anymore, kid, you're a star player. Props!
