J. Cole's music video for 'In the Morning' mixes footage of his recent European tour (with Drake) with a storyline about the Cole's efforts to share an intimate moment with a girl who's "summertime fine."

The clip opens with the credits shown against a black background, while Cole's voice is heard asking, "Why don't we just shoot the video right here on stage in Paris?" and thousands of fans roar their approval.

The applause fades and we're shown a split-screen with Cole on the left in his lonely hotel room and his love interest on the right getting ready to go out. After the split-screen fades, the video presents alternating images of the pair as they head to Cole's concert - he gets a haircut and grabs a bite to eat, while she arrives early at the empty arena.

The Jay-Z protege takes the stage in time to repeat the song's hook, "Can I hit it in the morning?," as the sold-out crowd cheers along. Drake comes out to deliver his seductive verse, rapping, "I'm trying to make the goose bumps on your inner thighs show."

Performance footage is mixed with shots of Cole and his girl drinking and hanging out backstage. After the rappers finish their duet, the video cuts to a shot of the woman in Cole's room in the morning. He's apparently not there, but she puts on his t-shirt with the logo Dreamville, the name of Cole's label.

'In the Morning' appears on Cole's mixtape 'Friday Night Lights,' which was released in November to positive reviews. He's expected to release a proper debut album later this year.
