As the featured artist on Clean Bandit's "Rather Be," Jess Glynne decisively belts "When I am with you / There's no place I'd rather be," but it seems the state of her own love life is a little less figured out.

In an interview with the London Evening Standard published today, the "Not Letting Go" singer said she, like many other emerging artists, struggled to find her footing in the music business straight out of the gate, but when she did finally ink a record deal in 2013, her heart had been broken too severely for her to properly appreciate the opportunity.

"[It was] the most horrible situation I could have been in," Glynne said. "She just f---ed me over. It was the first girl I’d ever fallen in love with."

Glynne admitted she'd never previously discussed her personal life, and still struggles to identify exactly where her romantic inclinations lie.

"I don’t know what I want now — to be with a guy, with a girl, be with anyone," she admitted. "I’m so content with just doing this and seeing where it all takes me."

Thankfully for her, the pop powerhouse has all the potential to go the distance, as her latest single "Hold My Hand"—the second off her upcoming debut album I Cry When I Laugh—is showing no signs of slowing down.
