Justin Bieber Is Going to Take a Paternity Test
The Justin Bieber baby daddy case is becoming more and more like an episode of 'Maury' with each passing day. The Biebs wants to prove he is not the father of Mariah Yeater's son, and he has agreed to submit to a paternity test in order to clear his good name.
The New York Post reports that The Biebs will take the DNA test in two weeks time, once he returns from Europe. Sources told the Post that the singer's "lawyers are making arrangements for him to take the test, which will be done in accordance with all legal requirements." The source went on to say, "I cannot say where or when the test will take place, but it will prove that Yeater’s claim is completely false."
"We intend to be very aggressive about this and make an example of [Yeater’s] lawyers," the Bieber source said. Yeater’s lawyers, Matt Pare and Lance Rogers, said, “We are encouraged that Justin Bieber will voluntarily take the paternity test."
Bieber’s lawyer, Howard Weitzman, did not return the paper's calls for comment. However, Bieber's rep Matthew Hiltzik did issue a statement on the matter, declaring, "We are going to take every step to defend and protect Justin." The Biebs and his people are in full on crisis management mode. Damn that Mariah Yeater.
Yeater, 20, claims that she snatched The Bieb's virginity in a Staples Center bathroom in L.A., after his concert. She claims she got pregnant with his son during the 30-second sex sesh. We find it all highly unlikely, but Yeater is aggressively seeking child support for her son, Tristyn, 4 months. He was born July 6.
Last week, The Biebs said that he never even met his accuser, telling the 'Today' show that none of the allegations are true. He said, "It's crazy that people want to make up such false allegations." Welcome to the wild, not-always-wonderful world of celebrity, Biebs!
Also mucking up matters is the fact that The Biebs would have been underage at the time of their encounter, making their relations a case of statutory rape! We bet Miss Yeater didn't think about that when she dreamt up this scheme.
Yeater also told the Daily Star that "there’s not a shred of doubt in my mind . . . Justin is definitely the father" and even pointed to a resemblance between her son and the man she says sire him! "Look! Just look at his mouth. Look familiar?" she said. A mouth is all we need as proof? Really?
Zap2It posted footage of an interview Yeater conducted an interview with 'The Insider,' which airs today.
"I have provided evidence to my attorneys and it'll show in court to prove that my allegations are true," she promised. Word is that her attorneys want to settle out of court, too. That sounds like she wants a cash grab by capitalizing on Bieber's desire to make this headache go away.
