When photos of Justin Bieber smoking weed emerged, the Internet pretty much exploded. The only people quiet about the pot pics? Bieber's camp -- and Selena Gomez.

The Canadian heartthrob is now addressing the controversy, albeit indirectly, through Twitter.

"Another year. Another year to be doubted. Another year to work hard and prove them wrong. Another year we are coming out of the gate strong," he wrote. He continued, "Everyday growing and learning. Trying to be better. U get knocked down, u get up." Or you get high, as it were.

Still, Bieber knows where his responsibilities lie. "Back on tour tomorrow," he tweeted. "Ready to see u all smile. Time to do what im supposed to be doing. Performing. #BELIEVEtour." He thanked his supporters, posting, "i see all of u. i hear all of u. i never want to let any of you down. i love u. and..thank u. #beliebers." He concluded with, "Like i said...2013...new challenges. new doubters...Im ready. We are ready. See u all tomorrow and everyday after that. #BELIEVEtour."

Bieber never addresses exactly what everyone is upset about: the fact that he was snapped with a handrolled ciggie. It's unclear whether he will talk about it in the future, but there have been no official statements from his camp, nor from his usually loquacious manager, Scooter Braun.
