Kanye West is reportedly calling Paris home while he works on his own high-end fashion collection, which will incorporate menswear and womenswear.

According to the Telegraph, the rapper has developed a strong relationship with Professor Louise Wilson, head of the MA fashion design degree at Central Saint Martins College of Art in London. He has also been seen in the front row of the autumn/winter 2011 runway shows of Rodarte, Jean Paul Gaultier, Chanel, Givenchy, Vivienne Westwood and more.

West has always had an appreciation for fashion. Images of his much-talked-about Pastelle line hit the Web in 2009, but it was soon announced that the collection would never see the light of day. That same year, he teamed up with Louis Vuitton to design the Ye/Louis V sneaker, and most recently, we reported that the hip-hop superstar would be working on a line of silk scarves inspired by the album artwork from his ‘My Beautiful, Dark, Twisted Fantasy’ album.

The rapper also has a special place in his heart for Celine designer Phobe Philo. West dropped her name in the lyrics of his song, 'Dark Fantasy,' and was spotted sporting a Celine Spring 2011 piece during his Coachella performance in April. He is also rumored to be presenting the designer with an award at the CFDAs on June 6.

While a release date for his fashion collection has not yet been set, the speculation is that it could be ready for September, when the 2012 spring/summer season shows.
