After waiting abating breath since their announcement of their collaborative album 'Watch the Throne,' Kanye West and Jay-Z finally dropped the set's kick-off single, 'Otis.' The soulful tune, which features the dynamic duo spitting 'luxury raps,' is officially the hottest rap song of the summer.

The track begins with the sample of Otis Redding's classic 1966 tune, 'Try a Little Tenderness' as we hear the late soul crooner wail, "It makes it easier to bare, you won't regret it." Then comes in the tickling piano, a flourishing bass line and a thunderous beat produced by Mr. West.

"It sounds so soulful, don't chu agree?" questions Jigga before he rips the track with his braggadocios rhymes. "I invented swag, poppin' bottles, puttin' supermodels in a cab," he boasts. "Proof / I guess I got my swagger back/ Truth / New watch alert / Hublots / All the big-face Rollies / I got two of those."

Not to be out done, Yeezy spits, "Damn, Yeezy and Hov where the hell y'all been? / N----s talking real reckless / Stuntmen / I adopted these n----s / Phillip Drummond and them / Now about to make them tuck their whole summer in/ They say I'm crazy / Well I'm about to go dumb again."

The back-and-forth banter between the rap kings is endearing, and they offer plenty of fantastic one-liners too numerous to mention in this review. Oh, what the heck, here's two more -- Jigga: "I got 5 passports I'm never going to jail." Yeezy: "I made 'Jesus Walks' I'm never going to hell."

Overall, 'Otis' is a triumphant song that will garner repeat listens just for the one-liners alone. West and Jay-Z are back and it's great to hear them together once again. The summer just got even hotter with these two on deck.

Be on the lookout for 'Watch the Throne' when it hits digital stores on August 1 and the physical CD on record store shelves on August 5.
