Fun fact: we’re totally obsessed with Kelly Clarkson’s Christmas album ‘Wrapped in Red.’ But we’re not gonna lie, we could definitely do with another non-holiday themed song from her. Thankfully, she recently revealed that she has plans to release an album in 2015. Of course, there’s no word yet on exactly when her unnamed, mystery album will be dropping, but we’re willing to hold our breaths until we pass out and suffer minor cerebral contusions if that’s what it takes. That's how passionate we are about new Kelly Clarkson material.

ABC News is reporting that at a Nashville press conference, Kelly talked about the followup to her last album — the 2011 release ‘Stronger’ — and jokingly described it as: “It’s amazing. And you’re going to love it. You’re gonna be like, ‘This is right up on there with John Lennon, ‘Imagine.’’ I guaran-damn-tee it!”

But she made sure to let everyone know that she was totally joking, and considering the backlash artists get nowadays when people fail to detect sarcasm we do not blame her. She said: “It’s not ‘Imagine.’ Sarcasm! But we can aim!”

She did get into the sound of the album, though, describing it seriously: "It's an uplifting record. I've always been a person about empowerment and doing empowering songs. There's empowering songs on the record and there's a lot of positive on there.”

And what can fans expect in terms of pure sound? Kelly’s always been one to go from country to pop to rock over the years, so we’re never sure what kind of album to expect from her. She said: "There's all kinda of genres. I'm obviously affected by the community I live in so there's a little bit of everything. It's a great record.”

And when Kelly says her album is great, we definitely believe her.
