When an artist sings the praises of a fellow artist -- especially one who is essentially competition -- it speaks volumes about their character, and the ever-kind Kelly Clarkson is no exception to the rule. The original 'American Idol' dished to Idolator that she's got the musical hots for fellow pop girlie Ellie Goulding. In fact, she can't get enough of her sound.

"My favorite album right now is Ellie Goulding; it's 'Lights,'" Clarkson spilled in a new interview. "I love it, it's so different from everything else that's out right now. I'm kind of late in the game -- I guess she's had it out for a couple of years. I didn't know that. But, um, I listen to it nonstop."

Just last week, the 'Mr. Know It All’ hitmaker confessed that she actually wants to punch Adele in the face (for being so talented, of course) -- so it seems that she's really got a thing for English vocalists, or possibly just female artists in general. Clarkson also revealed that she when she's not on the road, she likes to listen to old records on her record player, namely Aretha Franklin when she's cleaning house. "I travel so much that usually I'm listening to music on my iPod, but when I'm at home, especially in Texas, I listen to only vinyl because I just love the sound of it."

We bet there are other female artists not named here that might pay the same respect to Kelly Clarkson's albums. Her latest, 'Stronger,' dropped on Tuesday (Oct. 25).
