On October 1, Diplo's Mad Decent Block Party closed out its series of national dates with an all-day outdoor event in Los Angeles. After midday sets from Boi-1da, Henrik the Artist and Neo Fresco, Kesha took to the stage to close out the afternoon and bring the festival into night. Backed by her formally-dressed band the Creepies, she launched her set with "We R Who We R," followed by "Your Love is My Drug."

Kesha's set also featured a rockified version of her old hits including "Dinosaur," which saw her strip down to a fringed leotard, joined by dancers donning dinosaurs heads. For "Timber," she spit her own rap verse in place of Pitbull, and took to drumming on the floor-tom for "Cannibal." She referenced her ongoing legal battle with Dr. Luke twice, while encouraging the crowd to lift their middle fingers in support of her own strength through the matter.

Despite an already-packed crowd in front of the stage for her set, "Tik Tok" made the crowd swell even more as festival goers made a massive rush forward to join in the finale, pogoing up and down and she sang over bare power chords. After an interim set from Snails, headliner and MDBP mastermind Diplo arrived on stage to close out the festival, mixing his own hits like Major Lazer's "Bubble Butt" with other chart-toppers including The Chainsmokers' "Don't Let Me Down" and a remix of D4L's "Laffy Taffy."
