Oh, the ever unpredictable Kesha. The pop star (aka force of nature) is working on new material while on the road, and she told MTV at the KIIS FM Wango Tango fest last weekend that she plans to hark back to the '70s style of sexy rock 'n' roll with her next platter. The girl is nothing if not fearless.

"The next album ... I've been working on writing on the road, but as far as a sound, I just know it's gonna be balls-out, irreverent rock and roll," Kesha says. "I've been pretty much in this '70s rock and roll kick and I just want to capture some of the true essence of what rock and roll is, and that's just irreverence and sexiness and fun and not giving a f---, so we'll definitely put a bit of rock and roll in it."

'70s style rock, huh? It leaves us wondering if the songstress will lean more towards the layered pop rock of Fleetwood Mac or perhaps the over-the-top bombast of Queen? Maybe she'll channel the theatrical rock of Kiss or perhaps the shocking antics of Alice Cooper? With Kesha, you never can tell and it'll be a waiting game where we wait and see, er, hear what she comes up with. Whatever the case, it'll be interesting to say the least.

Since Kesha has demonstrated a keen sense of irreverence in her music and during her stage show – you know, the condom canon, drinking fake blood, engaging in sassy repartee with crowds -- we think that she can easily straddle the line between pop and rock with her next offering. And we're sure she'll do it wearing platform heeled boots, lots of glitter and blue eyeliner.
