This tweet immediately responded to, by one of her followers, who wrote: "that happened like, yesterday, fire whoever tells you the news." Yes, the tragic event happened yesterday, but it's all the music and entertainment media is talking about today and for the foreseeable future.

Is Kesha's tardy mention really that big of a deal? Not really, in the grand scheme of things, but it's surprising that the 'Tik Tok' singer posted a tweet nearly 24 hours after the fact. In this day and age, where information is instant, thanks to the digital world we live in, it's almost unfathomable that a pop star is just getting around to finding out this major piece of news and addressing it. Houston's fellow pop stars, as well as a whole host of country and rock stars, memorialized Houston in their digital and online spaces immediately.

It's not like Kesha was offline all day and incommunicado. She was tweeting a bunch yesterday, so she's a bit late hopping aboard the Whitney Houston eulogy tweet train, since most news outlets have already moved on to the autopsy and reporting about Houston's teenage daughter Bobbi Kristina, who was rushed to the hospital twice and is said to be inconsolable at the loss of her mother.
