Once again, Kim Kardashian has broken the internet, but Katy Perry, conversely, has barely impressed a single crack.

Yesterday (December 21), Apple's app store nearly blew a gasket trying to keep up with downloads of Kardashian's brand new "Kimoji" app. The program, which expands smartphone users' emoji collection to include Kim-centric images like obscured breasts and facial contouring techniques, was scooped up at about 9,000 downloads per millisecond at its peak, according to TMZ. And, at $1.99 a pop, you can only imagine the cash headed Kim's way...

On the other hand, Perry's "Pop," which allows users to play in a virtual wonderland through the eyes of the singer, failed to make contact, and according to Investor's Business Dailyonly reached No. 54 among free iPhone purchases (No. 117 on Google Play's chart). And it looks like Glu Mobile developers have headaches ahead — users have been complaining that the game is super-glitchy, and that "Katy Vision" isn't registering as clearly as they hoped it would.

Glu Mobile, which also released the wildly successful "Kim Kardashian Hollywood" last year, saw its stock fall nearly 20 percent amid the "Pop" debut yesterday. The company still has similar celeb-themed apps in the works for fans of Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner and Britney Spears.
